Gordon Gives Bike Giveaway 2024: A Celebration of Joy and Community
The 2024 Gordon Gives Bike Giveaway brought joy and excitement to children across Louisiana as we proudly distributed 488 brand-new bikes and helmets. The event, held annually as part of our commitment to the community, continues to be one of the most heartfelt traditions at Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys.
A Holiday Tradition of Giving
For over a decade, the Bike Giveaway has been a cornerstone of our community outreach. Inspired by Gordon’s cherished childhood memory of waking up to find a shiny red bike under the Christmas tree, this initiative aims to recreate that magical moment for as many children as possible. Each year, we are reminded of the simple yet profound joy a bike can bring—not just to the children but to their families as well.
Highlights from 2024
This year’s giveaway was bigger and better than ever. With a selection of 16” and 20” bikes, we ensured that children of varying ages and sizes had the perfect ride to call their own.
This year’s events were brimming with holiday cheer. From Baton Rouge to Shreveport and all our offices in between, families gathered to pick up their bikes, share their excitement, and take part in the festive atmosphere. Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as they claimed their new bikes was nothing short of heartwarming.
By delivering bikes across the state, we aimed to ensure that children in every corner of Louisiana could experience the magic of the season. This event exemplifies our dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of the people we serve.
Partnering with Front Yard Bikes
This was our second year in a row partnering with Front Yard Bikes, a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through bike repair and mentorship. As part of the Baton Rouge event, each winner also received a free bike repair certificate from Front Yard Bikes to ensure their new rides remain in top condition. To recognize their hard work and support their incredible mission, we made a donation to Front Yard Bikes. Their dedication to the community aligns perfectly with our goal of spreading joy and opportunity through the Bike Giveaway.
