Marshall Brennan Project
Gordon Gives is a proud supporter of the 2016 Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project by Southern University Law Center. The program is designed to combine the informal curriculum of school life into the formal curriculum of classes on law, government, and American History. It highlights the 39 most important Supreme Court cases that affects these students most. The Program’s goal is to teach students their rights under the Constitution and how to use their knowledge of cases and the Constitution to become effective democratic citizens and claim their constitutional rights. Through briefing cases and participating in moot court exercises, students develop critical thinking skills, advancing their rhetorical skills, and refine their persuasive powers.
